Think carefully before taking supplements.   It is very tempting to take a supplement that indicates a benefit for hair.   A healthy balanced diet, with food from all the food groups is best for supporting hair growth.   However, some people will be deficient in certain nutrients which may be assessed by a trichologist.    Your GP  may be able to  request a limited range of blood tests based on clinical need.
